Wow! Absolutely amazing! We have stayed in almost all the hotels on 'front street' and in oceanfront rooms but none of the views are as amazing as here. We will definitely be back.

We were delighted to walk off the boat a couple hundred feet and voila`,home! As I write this we are on the top floor looking out on the town and harbor- just fabulous. We will bring our entire family back next time.

We were only an hour away from home, but it seems like you're in a quaint European resort location. We LOVED the spacious deck and just people watching and viewing all the beautiful boats in the harbor. My two teenagers, who are always looking for something to do, had no problem enjoying themselves by exploring the island, playing volleyball, swimming, bike riding, etc. They want to go back again! If you want a prime location in Catalina, the Grisham home is by far the best.

This home was everything we hoped it would be! There were 5 couples and we fit just perfect. We experienced some May/June gloom weather, but that didn't let it stop us from having a fantastic time. Thanks again.

Thank you for opening your house up for us. We loved the location. It was the perfect size for our extended family and we enjoyed eating most of our meals out on the deck with the incredible views. We recommend renting kayaks and the Glass Bottom boat tour. For breakfast, we liked Jack's.

This was a great opportunity to explore Catalina Island and being right in the middle of town was great. The views, not only on the deck but also from inside, are amazing and the house was as cozy as it could be. We had some great family time here.

This house was WONDERFUL! It's the only house you can rent right on the boardwalk of Catalina..which means you are walking distance to everything and you wake up looking at the town, the ocean and the Casino. The deck was huge and perfect for our large group. Most of our time was spent on it relaxing, talking and playing games. We didn't want to ever leave. This was one of our best trips ever!! Thanks so much.

It was our mom's 80th birthday. We really wanted to take her somewhere special for her birthday and the time we spent here at the beach house was perfect! Being Danish she never has had such lovely weather on her birthday- we walked together on the beach in sunshine on Dec 23rd! She said it was her best birthday ever. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Staying here made a very special day perfect.

We are so blessed to be able to spend our vacation here on the top
floor. The view and accomodations are incredible. This is our first time
staying at the Grisham House and it won't be our last. I've been coming
over to the island for 36 years and I love it here! This trip has been amazing.

Four blissful days in Avalon are coming to an end much sooner than
we would like. Bob & I have stayed in Avalon many times since our
honeymoon in 1979, but none of our stays have been as peaceful and
relaxing as this one. This is truly one of our best vacations ever. The
view from this unit and deck exceeded our expectations. Randy, thanks
for making your vacation home available to us.

Once again our summer vacation to Catalina was wonderful! We love all
the new touches to the house (although we do miss the 'classic' wallpaper
in the kitchen, ha) Our time here goes by so quickly filled with tennis, golf,
beach time, eating, drinking and a great bocce ball tournament just out
front on the grass. Thanks for providing the home that allows us to create
beautiful memories- see you in '09.

place for our family! This is our second year to visit your lovely home and
again we had a wonderful week. Thank you for allowing us to use both
levels - your kitchen remodel on the lower floor is really outstanding.

A family spring break, our first ever. We fished, collected sea glass, ate,
played Pictionary, drank, played Scattergories, lost 2 teeth (Micah & Elijah), BBQ'd, drank, ate and had a wonderful time! What a great place this is for kids (and adults as well). Thanks!

A gathering of friends..some of us frequent the island and other this was their first time. We loved it! I'm glad we stumbled upon this house. We especially loved the large deck for BBQ's and people watching. A return visit is definitely in the works.

We came to Catalina for a Mother-Daughter weekend getaway and we had a fabulous time. We rented golf carts, shopped, hiked, ate a ton & played alot of games. The deck is the best part of the house. Great people watching. Two of the bedrooms are a little odd, but it works. All in all, a great time. Thanks!

What a great place this is! It made my husband's 70th birthday memorable.

Every year the O'Grady family of CT & CA take a vacation together. Some of us has been to Catalina years before, so we decided to come. Thanks to the Grisham House we never could have found accomodations to handle all 11 of us. We love the location and the thoughtful touches like the bikes, games & well stocked kitchen. Lying around the house reading magazines and watching the spectacular view was great.

We had an awesome time at the Grisham house. We hiked, snorkeld, swam & checked out the restaurants - too much fun! The house has the greatest views and location. We hope to come back in the future.

My family just returned from the most wonderful and relaxing
vacation at this marvelous location. The older decor is charming
and the three bathrooms made life easier with a larger group.
Although some of the bedrooms are a tight squeeze, the beds
themselves are very comfortable. However the most outstanding
feature are the great, big decks and the views directly overlooking the harbor. It's beauty is unsurpassed.

Our family of 15 recently rented both units to celebrate a surprise 65th birthday for my husband. The house is within easy walking distance from the boat, which is very convenient. Even though a couple of the rooms are small, they are plenty big enough to enjoy a good night's sleep. We used all the beds and everybody was comfortable. The location of this home is more than you can ask for.The middle and upper decks are wonderful as they overlook the ocean, the beaches and the walkways. I would not have any second thoughts about renting this house again. Thank you for opening up your charming home to others.

This is a great house to stay in at Catalina! The house really is
located at the best spot in Avalon. Realistically, as the owner
notes, the building is older and some of the rooms are small,
but with that said, if you were questioning whether to rent this
place or not - I'd definitely recommend it.
The location is so ideal it trumps everything else. Also the patio
is absolutely perfect for BBQs. On our trip to Avalon we did all
kinds of activities and tours and then spent long nights on the
patio deck chatting, eating and people watching. Four days for
my group was perfect. So as long as you can live with an older
place on your vacation, this property comes with my highest
recommendation!

This home was the most wonderful place for our Catalina excursion. We booked both units and had plenty of room and plenty of bath- rooms (3 downstairs & 1 up). But the absolute highlight of the house are the great patio decks with the unbelievable views. We BBQ'd, played volleyball, walked and walked and had the best time. We hated to leave. HIghly recommended.

For many years we frequently visited Avalon, mainly staying in boats that we owned. Because our boating days ended, we tried to locate a place on land that would closely duplicate the boating experience. We had no luck until we found this property. We recommend it enthusiasticly.
If you want the best close-up view of the harbor with all the of the exciting boating activities; the panoramic view of the town, Casino and Catalina channel; and the view of main street with the great people watching, this is the place! We found the accomodations very comfortable, clean and everything we needed was included. We are looking forward to future repeat visits.

We had a fantastic time. The views are extraordinary and for the
most part, the weather was great. We loved the setting and hope
101 Pebbly Beach becomes an annual vacation spot for our clan.
